TOWARDS SIXTH BIG BLU: FROM FEBRUARY 18 THROUGH 26 IN FIERA ROMA

After navigating for 9 days wind asteam, BIG BLU concluded its 5th edition, applauded by an audience of enthusiasts. The Roma Boat and Sea Expo closes reconfirming the successful formula, able to combine huge audience with market excellence and also with a number of prestigious institutional contributions and activities, oriented to promote and support the culture of the sea.
The relevance of the success strikes even harder as it is produced in sheer counter tendency with respect to the difficulties encountered by the sector through recent years: 800 boats on show, yachts and sail boat, fisherman, RIBs and inflatables; 600 exhibiting companies coming from all over the country, with significant international presences like the ones of the French Beneteau and Jeanneau (an important return after two years of absence). These together with the best of the boat production of the Latium Region, that occupied an entire pavilion. The result was a show of 11 pavilions, 90.000 sqm of indoor exhibition area, 142.136 visitors (showing a +3% on last edition).
To witness the positive trend maintained by BIG BLU two are the figures to be considered: a +5% on the average space contracted for, compared with last show, that account for the stronger credibility acquired by the event; over 70.000 clicks registered by the attractive web promotion of BIG-BLU.IT during the sole month of February, a figure which is 3 times the average marked by the other boat shows in Italy, in their respective months.
Reconfirmed the co-operation with the MIPAAF (Ministero delle Politiche Agricole Alimentari e Forestali – Direzione Generale per la Pesca e l’Acquacoltura) thanks to the second edition of the Project OBIETTIVO MARE that individuated the guidelines for the co-ordination of the production chain of professional and sports fishing and of its relevant legal and economic aspects, with leisure marine, marine industry, nautical tourism and with the energy sector, to develop a sea economy that has the environments and eco-sustainability as imprescindible points of reference.
Together with the traditional focuses of Boat Show, GommoShow and  World Fishing on show for the first time this year was Outdoors Experience, the Outdoors and Camper show and Culinaria.

See you next year at BIG BLU 2012.
